GeneUP has adopted a school in Mamelodi as part of our community project. The school we have selected is called Vlakfontein High School.
Currently we are giving them stationary packages and posters for the different classes. We are hoping to do bigger projects in the near future. Our major concern is getting the large area of grass next to the school cut to ensure the safety of the learners as it is posing many risks.
We are hoping to get a sponsor that can help to maintain that grass at a length that will no longer pose a threat to the learners. We would also like to find someone to fix the roofing and replace the ceiling.
